Long-billed Curlew

Last year when I was in Rockport for a show I spent an extra day to take pictures of birds. I was lucky enough to see this Curlew and it was kind enough to let me take a picture before flying off. This was the only one I saw. It seems Curlews are not suppose to be here in the summer so this was a lucky sighting. I'm glad the birds don't read the field guides.
