Cost: $90.00 for a 4 hour class
The four hour class includes one 12"x12" sheet of copper, patterns, one backboard for punching into, all tools to use in the class, lighting and work areas necessary. I will also provide an information packet with a class outline, a few patterns and suggested suppliers.
Additional sheet copper is available for $9.00 per square foot.
I will provide various punch patterns, but feel free to bring your own pattern if you have one you like.
Maximum class size 10 people per class, so sign up early. We will work in the art gallery or, weather permitting, in the wood shop.

Making and using a pattern
Tools necessary for punching
Making your own punch tools
Using a metal grinder
Techniques of punching and raising sheet metal
Practice Coloring copper with a propane torch
Edge bending of sheet metal
Surface treatment
Design, application and installation of punch project

Bring a notebook for taking notes.
Tools you can bring if you have them: Ball peen hammer, preferably 10 or 12 ounce
Rubber mallet
Steel leather working tools
Nail set that can be altered
Dull chisel that can be altered
Safety glasses or eye glasses
Call or email to register. A $25.00 non-refundable deposit will be necessary at registration to cover cost of supplies. This will be put towards your class time when you attend. Directions will be given at time of registration.
